Christmastime in New Mexico and New Year’s in Utah

Christmas was a quiet affair for us this year.  We enjoyed my parents visiting from Oklahoma.  My mom always makes cookies and a gingerbread house with the boys.  It has become a tradition for the three of them to make a house and hope it doesn’t fall apart.  I enjoyed having 10 days off from the college and enjoying a nice vacation with the boys.  We enjoyed the lights at the River of Lights at the ABQ Biopark.  I have been wanting to go since we moved here and finally we made it.  Now, I want to go again.  It was cold, but worth it to see all of the neat lights scattered throughout the park.  On Christmas day, we Skyped with Bill’s family and with my brother and his family in California.  Even though we are far apart, it is so neat to be able to see and hear them.  A few days after Christmas we packed up our snow clothes and headed north to Utah.  We enjoyed sledding, playing games and making memories.  It was really, really cold!  We had a good time and rang in the New Year in Utah.
