On June 29th, we headed to New Mexico. It was a good trip and gave me an idea what it will be like for the trips back and forth to my parents’ house. It was exciting to finally be in New Mexico after so many months of anticipation. We got to the base and promptly went to Sonic – my favorite. 🙂 We saw our house after only seeing pictures and well I can’t say I was excited at first, but it has grown on me. The views are great. We live in a small town. It has a Super WalMart, a Smith’s grocery store and a Walgreen’s. There is also a McDonald’s & a Dairy Queen. Not much, but we like it. We went to our new ward and the people are awesome. We got a great reception and we are looking forward to getting to know the people in our ward better. I think we are going to like it here.
How pretty! Ohhh…I really miss the desert (and the west in general). Such spectacular sunsets.
Holy smokes Jana! What a change from here. Are there any other homes close to you? I have to kind of laugh at myself, because that is how I grew up . . . NOT in a neighborhood, but I’ve gotten so used to being in one that your house looks kind of lonely!
We actually live in a neighborhood, but the houses are about 150 feet apart or so on each side of us. All of the neighbors are on one to two acre lots. The other novelty is we have a paved road into our neighborhood where most of the roads are gravel.
Land. Lot’s of land, where a body can roam…..Haven’t seen that kind of view since ND! Love the house. It looks very nice!
We are so happy that it is only a 6 1/2 hour drive from us to you!!! Looking forward to seeing you more often. 🙂
I love,love,love the front porch.
Love the house, love the view. Glad to hear you arrived and are starting to settle in. Good luck in your new place!
